Texas A&M was one of the leaders with three players named to the Rivals.com All-America team. Making the Rivals.com elite squad were seniors Cyrus Gray, Coryell Judie and Jeff Fuller. Only four teams had more players mentioned on the Rivals.com team – Alabama, Boise State, Notre Dame and Stanford. Gray made the second team at running back, Judie made the third team at cornerback, and Fuller made the third team at wide receiver. Gray, from DeSoto High School, had a breakout season as a rusher with 1,133 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2010, and he carries a seven-game streak of 100-yard rushing games into the 2011 season. Gray has always been an elite kickoff returner and all-purpose yards producer. He holds A&M’s school record for game, season and career kickoff return yards, and is just the second Aggie to surpass the 5,000-yard barrier in career all-purpose yards. Judie, from Marlin, Texas via Fort Scott Community College (Kan.), established himself as an elite pass defender and kickoff returner in his first season of action with the Aggies last year. Judie, who redshirted in 2009 after transferring, led the team with four interceptions and made 57 tackles. He also contributed a 30.2 kickoff return average on 20 tries, including a pair of long kickoff returns for touchdowns. Fuller, from McKinney Boyd High School, became Texas A&M’s first-ever 1,000-yard receiver and broke the school record for catches in a season (tie with teammate Ryan Swope) in 2010. Fuller finished the year with 72 catches for 1,066 yards and 12 touchdowns. Fuller, who has made at least one catch in every game of his career, already holds the school record with 28 career TD catches and is closing in on A&M’s career records for catches and yards. |
