The reeling Iowa State Cyclones better be prepared to be destroyed this weekend by the Texas A&M Aggies in a Big 12 clash.
The Aggies are coming off consecutive victories over Baylor and Texas Tech, and seem to have figured things out since their late-game collapses against Oklahoma State and Arkansas.
The Cyclones looked good in their first three games of the season, but have since dropped three straight. They haven't been close in any of their games and were annihilated by Missouri 52-17 in their last outing.

Where: Jack Trice Stadium (Ames, Iowa)

When: Saturday, Oct. 22 at 3:30 p.m. EDT

Watch: ABC, ESPN3 (Live stream)

Spread: Texas A&M (-21)
In Iowa State's last home game, they lost to Texas by the score of 37-14. The Longhorns are nowhere near as talented as the Aggies, so this game appears to be headed for a blowout.
Texas A&M only won by five on their last road trip, but that was against a Texas Tech side who is 4-2 and has been very competitive this season.
This line is more about how bad Iowa State is than how good Texas A&M is, but you should bet the Aggies with confidence.

BCS/Top 25 Implications:

The Aggies still have a legitimate shot at reaching a BCS game and winning the Big 12, but they  have to win this game.
If Texas A&M loses another game this season, any chance at advancing to a BCS game or the Big 12 Championship Game will be gone.
They need to come out strong in this game and blow the Cyclones out of the water.

The game plan for the Aggies is simple: They need to keep the pressure on Iowa State. They have had some pretty big leads this season, but have seen them disappear in the second half.
Ryan Tannehill has been exceptional this year, but they need him and the rest of the offense to keep up the pressure when they have a lead.
They are going to get out to a big lead early in this one, so they better keep pouring it on or they may fall victim to another letdown.

Keys to Victory for Iowa State:
4e631459048d3The Cyclones can't give up if they fall behind. As mentioned, Texas A&M has really disappointed in the second half of football games.
Iowa State needs to find a way to slow down this Aggie offense if they are going to have any chance of winning. Texas A&M currently boasts the 22nd-best passing attack and the 16th-best rushing attack, so they are going to be tough to slow down.

Prediction: Texas A&M 52, Iowa State 20
